The sequel to Winter Warrior, sees the return of Fingal, the ex-Roman army mercenary who is trying to make a living as a farmer in the wilds of his native land of Caledon. Enlisted by a local chieftain to recover his abducted bride, the hero once more has to fight a determined band of fortune seeking Angles whose commander falls in love with the scheming bride-to-be.
